(GBH) No / I'm On Heat / Last Of The Teenage Idols

This EP just magically appeared during the band's 1999 USA tour, I wasn't aware
that anything was going to be released at the time. The record is one of two
GBH / Billyclub split
releases, the other venture being the Punk Rock Ambulance EP released in 2001. The three GBH tracks are
covers recorded during earlier recording sessions. The 'No' and 'I'm On Heat'
tracks were originally recorded by The Rezillos and The Lurkers and were
covered by GBH in 1987 (they appeared on a demo tape I was given at the time
for the Wot A Bargain EP). Recorded in 1989, 'Last of
The Teenage Idols' was originally released by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
The Billyclub tracks consist of one original and two re-mixed songs of their
own and are considerably up-tempo compared to the GBH covers. The sleeve was
designed by Karl Morris from Billyclub and wasn't initially released with the
CD.
