Oh No It's GBH Again

Malice In Wonderland / Lost In The Fog
Get Out Of The City / Company Of Wolves

The tracks which appeared on this EP were recorded along with those that appear on the Midnight Madness & Beyond album in 1986, it is not surprising therefore that they have a somewhat similar, if slightly punchier sound than that of ' .. Madness'. The band seem to have taken to playing 'Malice .. ' live .. for the first time that I can ever remember, and damn good it sounds too. Colin let slip not so long ago that they also recorded a twelve minute Reggae-ish track along with the original sixteen songs which made up the LP and the EP, this has of course never been released, one of the few recorded original tracks that GBH have ever kept back from release. Although CD's were of course around at the time, this EP was strictly vinyl only release, it was however included on some CD releases of the next LP in the Rough Justice series .. No Need To Panic, though you will need a magnifying glass to read the reproduced lyrics.

Malice In Wonderland

Words & Music: Abrahall, Blyth, Lomas, Williams

See the sun way up high,
burning down on me.
Mountains rise and kiss the sky,
then crumble to the sea.

But alas all's not well in Eden now,
things ain't what they seem.
There's malice in Wonderland,
malice in Wonderland, and it's getting bad.

The preacher man he looks oh so sad,
he's got a tear in his eye.
His only friend deserted him,
drank a Bourbon bottle dry.

Heaven or hell go where you please,
you'll live with your own curse.
When Hell is full up to the brim,
the dead shall stalk the earth.

Lost In The Fog

Words & Music: Abrahall, Blyth, Lomas, Williams

All the boys and girls from round the world are gathering here today.
They're gonna' run and jump, dance and sing and play.
But you'd better think twice on the merchandise.

Lost in the fog and no way out ..
Lost in the fog and no way out ..
Lost in the fog and no way out ..
The gate's been shut.

The flag on your chest don't mean thing as long as you're having a go, go.
The colour of your skin or the shape your in,
do as you're told, you've gotta' go for gold.

Drowning in commercials, washed up as a joke.
Contracted all the sponges, due for a soak.
Let's all run with the number one.

Get Out Of The City

Words & Music: Abrahall, Blyth, Lomas, Williams

Get out of the city it's falling apart,
it's got a stake right through its heart.
They're queuing for food in huddled drones,
but it's safe in the larders of those on thrones.

So .. .. get out of the city, out of the city,
get out of the city today.
Get out of the city,
out of the city today .. .. now

Get out of the city as the sirens squeal,
high-rise living has lost its appeal.
The bailiffs giggle and snip with glee,
as they cut off gas and electricity.

Get out of the city, find a new home,
undernourished kids are getting chilled to the bone.
The country air is fresh and clean,
but I'm drowning in a sea of tranquillity.

Company Of Wolves

Words & Music: Abrahall, Blyth, Lomas, Williams

We gotta' raise some money for our children,
so when they're old they don't have to fear.
Scratch their back, they'll stab yours,
it's obvious boy, it's crystal clear.

We ain't got much all we got is,
the company of wolves.
They'll approach you, try to coax you,
make you sell your soul.
The company of wolves,
the company of wolves.
Get out of their den, start again,
they ain't nothing but fools.

We get tangled in the web of hate,
from our piggy bank's straight back to the fat guy.
Turn the tables, throw a rock and roll him,
tell him reach for the sky.

We got nothin' on our table,
nothing on our plate just dirt on the floor.
We listen hard for an answer,
but only hear the wolf at the door.
